Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 25, 2026
IndeKnow, Inc., a Florida corporation (“IndeKnow,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at https://indeknow.com and the IndeKnow mobile application (the “App”), available on iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, across both the website and the App.
Who we are
Our website address is: https://indeknow.com. Contact us at info@indeknow.com with any privacy questions.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an IndeKnow account (on the website or in the App), we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely; we never store plain-text passwords).
App usage and content data. Through the App, we collect:
- Your interactions with courses, articles, and modules (progress, completions)
- Basic technical information sent when the App connects to our servers or checks for updates (such as device type, OS version, and app version). The App does not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting tools
- Reflections you write after practice exercises. If you agree to health data sync (see below), they are saved to your account so your history is available on any device you sign into; otherwise they stay on your device. You can delete any reflection at any time from My Account.
- Practice progress: the exercises, reflections, and course modules you complete, the points and level you earn, the days you practiced, and your weekly practice goal.
- Your values and Persona Quiz result, if you take the quiz or choose values in the App.
- Your health data consent choices: whether you agreed, declined, or later withdrew, which version of the consent you saw, and when.
- A record that you agreed to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy when you created your account (which version, and when).
Health data and your consent. Your reflections, practice activity, values, and Persona Quiz result can reveal information about your mental or emotional wellbeing. Some state laws, including those of Washington, Nevada, and Connecticut, treat this as consumer health data. We save this data to your account only if you agree on a separate consent screen in the App, which is not part of our Terms. If you choose to keep it on your device only, it stays on your phone and is not sent to us. You can withdraw your consent at any time in the App (Menu > Settings > Health data sync), and you can choose to delete what is already saved to your account. If you use the App as a guest (without an account), nothing you enter is saved, on our servers or on your device; it is erased when you close the App or sign out. For details, see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
Subscription and billing information. If you subscribe to IndeKnow Pro in the App, the purchase is made through the Apple App Store or Google Play and is processed by Apple or Google, not by IndeKnow. We receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status (for example, the product purchased, purchase date, renewal and expiration dates) but never your payment card details. If you subscribe on our website, payment is processed by our checkout provider SureCart, using Stripe; we do not receive or store your full payment card details. See Apple’s privacy policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/), Google’s privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy), and Stripe’s privacy policy (https://stripe.com/privacy) for how they handle payment information.
Comments (website). When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you’re using it — see https://automattic.com/privacy/. After a comment is approved, your profile picture is visible publicly alongside it.
Media. If you upload images to the website, avoid embedding location data (EXIF GPS) — visitors can extract location data from images on the site.
Cookies (Website)
If you leave a comment you may opt in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience; these last one year. Our login page sets a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies (no personal data, discarded when you close your browser). Logging in sets cookies to save your login state and display choices — login cookies last two days (two weeks with “Remember Me”), display-option cookies last a year. Editing or publishing an article sets a cookie with no personal data, indicating the post ID, expiring after one day. The website also uses HubSpot and Jetpack Stats to understand how visitors use the site; these tools may set their own cookies.
Embedded Content (Website)
Articles on the site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the source site directly — it may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction, including if you’re logged in to that other service.
Reminders and Notifications (App)
If you turn on practice reminders, you choose your practice days and a reminder time. These reminders are scheduled on your device itself: your reminder settings stay on your phone, and we do not collect a push notification token or send reminders from our servers. Your device will ask for permission before any reminders are shown. You can turn reminders off at any time in the App (Menu > Settings) or in your device’s notification settings. Signing out cancels your reminders and clears these settings.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to: provide and maintain the App and website; process your subscription and manage entitlements; personalize your course/article experience; save your reflections, practice progress (points, levels, and weekly goals), and values to your account when you have agreed to health data sync; record your consent choices; schedule the practice reminders you turn on; maintain account security; respond to support requests; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your reflections, practice activity, values, or quiz results for advertising, and we do not sell them.
Third-Party Service Providers
We share data with the following categories of service providers, solely to operate the App and website:
- Apple and Google — process in-app Pro subscription purchases made through the App Store or Google Play
- RevenueCat — manages in-app subscription status across devices; receives your purchase and subscription records and an account identifier based on your IndeKnow account number (app versions before October 2026 used your account email). RevenueCat does not receive your reflections, practice activity, or values.
- Our website hosting provider — stores your account information and, if you agree to health data sync, your reflections, practice progress, and values, on our behalf
- Cloudflare — security and content delivery for indeknow.com (processes IP addresses and technical request data)
- Microsoft 365 — sends account emails on our behalf, such as password reset and email-change codes
- Automattic (Jetpack, VaultPress Backup, Jetpack Stats) — website backups, which contain a copy of our website database, and website statistics
- UpdraftPlus — website backups
- HubSpot — website analytics and forms
- Expo — delivers App updates (receives technical information such as platform and app version)
- SureCart and Stripe — manage and process Pro subscriptions purchased on our website
- Gravatar / Automattic — website comment avatars (see Comments section above)
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data with these providers under contractual terms that limit their use of it to providing services to us.
How Long We Keep Your Data
If you leave a website comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize follow-up comments automatically. If you register an account (website or App), we store the personal information in your profile for as long as your account is active. Your reflections, practice progress, and values (if you agreed to sync them) are kept for as long as your account is active and are deleted when you delete your account. If you turn off health data sync, you can also choose to delete what is already saved to your account. We keep a record of your consent choices for as long as your account is active. Reflections you delete individually are removed from your account right away. Backup copies of our website database are kept for a limited time and then overwritten, so deleted data is fully removed from backups after that period.
Your Rights
If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported copy of the personal data we hold about you, or request that we erase it. This doesn’t include data we’re legally required to retain.
Account deletion (App). You can permanently delete your App account and associated personal data at any time from within the App: Menu > Settings > Delete Account. This is a full deletion, not deactivation, and cannot be undone. Deleting your account cancels any Pro subscription purchased on our website, but does not cancel a subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play — cancel those in your Apple or Google account settings.
Consumer health data. If you live in Washington, Nevada, Connecticut, or another state with a consumer health data law, you have additional rights, including the right to confirm whether we collect your consumer health data, to access it, to withdraw consent, and to have it deleted. See our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for how to use these rights.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). EU/UK residents have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, and portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@indeknow.com.
Children’s Privacy
IndeKnow is intended only for adults 18 and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@indeknow.com and we will delete it.
Where Your Data Is Sent
Website visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service. App data is processed by the service providers listed above, which may include processing outside your country of residence.
Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls) to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last Updated” date above, and, where required, notified in-app or by email.
